Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Your eyes looked upon sinners with love and mercy,
Your ears always heard the cries of the poor and brokenhearted,
Your hands healed the sick and even now embrace the world and all its wounds.
As we enter into the great mystery and solemnity of Holy Week, we know your feet will take you on the Via Dolorosa—the way of sorrow and of suffering.
With grateful awe we recognize the love that moves each step.
Provide courage and strength to our pilgrim feet as we accompany you to Calvary.
And help us share your loving presence with all who sorrow and suffer around us.
Like Ignatius, grant that we may see you standing in the lowly place… and join you there.
