Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family. And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.

If you desire to do God’s will, you’ve probably wondered: “What is God’s responsibility and what is mine to live the life God calls me to live?” Not an easy question to answer. In the eighth chapter of Romans, Paul helps us by rendering an essential truth we often fail to grasp: God, and specifically the Holy Spirit, is constantly working and acting within you - far more powerfully than you usually realize. Paul tells us the Holy Spirit helps you in your weakness and is actually praying in you, with you and for you - interceding “with sighs too deep for words.” Paul also expresses one of the most consoling promises you’ll ever receive: “All things work together for the good of those who love God.” So, as you pursue your activities, remember that the Holy Spirit is always actively working on your behalf. So, why not ask the Holy Spirit to guide and empower you today? —Joseph Sandman, Ph.
